Many people are concerned about breeding Blue Eyed White alpacas.
Many of these animals are deaf, so many people refuse to have Blue Eyed
White alpacas in their herds. In actual fact, experiments have been
done where BEW animals have been bred together - and they do not produce BEW
offspring.
A geneticist and alpaca breeder did a study of the BEW phenomenon - he found
that most BEW's are a result of breeding grey to white, or spotted to grey
